For ten years, the Vandruk’s population has been suffering the aftermath of the wormhole's creation, a catastrophe that claimed the lives of many of their females. With their population in peril, Tzar-Than has taken drastic measures.
The khadahr ignored the ruling High Priest’s decree and went ahead with a perilous mission. Charging into the wormhole he emerged on Earth, where he made a startling demand: human females to restore his dying species.
Many Khadahrs and priests, who control the spiritual and political order, have condemned his actions as reckless. High Priest Bzun-Lhan is especially livid that Tzar-Than disregarded their warnings about the wormhole's unpredictable effects and demands that the Gathering of Khadahrs moves immediately and drastically against the rebellious khadahr. There are whispers of war, and several factions are openly calling for his removal from power.
However, Tzar-Than’s gambit paid off in a way that few expected.
Among the twenty women selected, Gwyn, a human with striking determination and strength, caught his eye. Against all odds, she is now his mate.
Rumors swirl that Gwyn has already begun learning Vandruk customs and is poised to take her place at Tzar-Than's side, causing further unrest among the elite who question the influence of a human in their society. But there are also those khadahrs who look at Tzar-Than’s decision in favor.

Cisco, the infamous pet of Warlord Brogan’s mate, Alahna, has once again managed to make headlines across Thyre with his latest misadventure. After narrowly escaping conviction for the Great Chicken Coop Massacre—a trial that shook the stronghold—Cisco has found himself in the middle of another hilarious scandal.
